    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump device capable of preventing the occurrence of various problems caused by leaking-out of an operating liquid, without leaking out the operating liquid to an external part in installation at a delivery destination, by preventing flowing-in of the operating liquid remaining in a reducing chamber to an operating liquid discharge passage on the opening side.
      SOLUTION: This pump device has an opening part 9 on an outside surface of a housing for covering a pump part 1, and has the reducing chamber 3 for reducing pulsation of the operating liquid boosted by the pump part 1 in the middle of a passage reaching the opening part 9 from a delivery port of the pump part 1; and has an operating liquid discharge passage 90 having one end 53 connected to the opening part 9 and having the other end 54 opening in the reducing chamber 3. The other end 54 of the operating liquid discharge passage 90 is arranged in a position higher than the delivery port.

SOLUTION: The relief valve 1 comprises a valve element 7 stored in a valve housing 5, a coil spring 8 for energizing the valve element 7 to a first direction S1, and an elastic body 9 arranged inside the coil spring 8. When the valve element 7 is moved to a second direction S2 against an energizing force F1 of the coil spring 8 by a force F2 which the valve element 7 receives from a discharge oil path 2, a valve hole 17 is opened to escape a high pressure fluid to a low pressure side.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress self-excited vibration of a relief valve from being generated and make the relief valve inexpensive.
      SOLUTION: The relief valve 3 is equipped with a cylindrical sleeve 10 for forming a valve hole 9 and a piston 11 slidably inserted in the valve hole 9 and energized in a closing direction F2. The piston 11 is a cup form and has a peripheral wall 11b and an end wall 11a. The peripheral wall 11b has an outer peripheral surface 11c slidably contacting with an inner surface 9a of the valve hole 9 and an inner surface 11d for receiving operating fluid pressure. In the case where the operating fluid pressure rises, the peripheral wall 11b is elastically expanded and friction with the inner surface 9a of the valve hole 9 increases. Hence, it is possible to suppress the piston 11 from generating self-excited vibration. In addition, suppression of self-excited vibration is realized by changing the form of the piston 11 to a cup form and increase of the number of parts is suppressed and thus the relief valve 3 can be made inexpensive.

High pressure fluid sealed in a trapping space S between the drive gear 2 and the driven gear 3 injects in the middle pressure chamber 4 with corresponding to rotation of the drive gear 2 and the driven gear 3 and pressure is released.
