摘要： Devices for dispensing toilet treatment tablets into toilet bowls when a button is actuated are disclosed. In one version, the device includes: (i) a toilet cover; (ii) a dispenser mounted to the cover; (iii) a plurality of solid tablets stored in the dispenser so as to be dispensable therefrom, wherein at least one of the tablets includes a toilet treatment chemical; and (iv) an actuator for moving a tablet from a ready position of the dispenser to a release position. In another version, the invention provides a handheld device including a body having a cover and a hollow wall connected to the cover. The cover and the wall define an interior space in the body, and the cover includes a dispensing slot. The device also includes a removable tablet holder suitable for holding a plurality of solid tablets. A tablet retainer of the tablet holder is located wtihin the cover when the tablet holder is installed within the body. The tablet retainer retains a tablet in a ready position for dispensing. An actuator is disposed in the cover for moving a tablet from the ready position out through the dispensing slot.

摘要： A heated volatile dispenser and a volatile carrier for use therewith are disclosed. The volatile dispenser has a closed heating chamber having ceiling and exit vents. A fuel burner is contained within the heating chamber, and a carrier holder is positioned over the fuel burner. The carrier holder holds a volatile carrier in a location above the fuel burner such that hot gases from the fuel burner pass the carrier holder and directly heat a volatile carrier held thereby. The volatile carrier may be held in an edge-on orientation with respect to the flow of hot gases, or transversely with respect to them. The volatile carrier has an inward end that has a cross-sectional profile made to be complementary to that of an insert slot through which the volatile carrier must be inserted for use. An alternative embodiment is shown that uses a candle as a fuel burner. A kit is shown that includes a candle and a volatile carrier that are designed to be exhausted at the same time so that the candle's consumption serves as a use-cue for the volatile carrier. Methods of dispensing volatiles are disclosed.

摘要： The invention is an automated sprayer (20) for spraying the walls of a bath and shower enclosure with a cleanser. The sprayer has a housing that can be mounted inside the shower enclosure and that defines a tray (22) in which an inverted bottle (48) of cleanser is stored. The bottom of the tray has a tube (56) extending downwardly along a longitudinal axis through which the cleanser can pass. A motorized head (26) disposed beneath the tube can be rotated about the axis for metering cleanser from the bottle and spraying cleanser outward. The sprayer includes timer circuitry that delays commencement of a spray for a set time and automatically stops spraying after a predetermined period. The sprayer also includes a system for signaling the beginning of a spray cycle including audio and visual alarms. An automated method of cleaning the shower enclosure is also disclosed.

摘要： A method and apparatus for delivering a volatile material from a dispensing device (20) is provided that uses a heat source to promote release of volatile materials from a wick (31) designed to deliver a volatile liquid (34) from a reservoir (28) to a heated location within a heater (25) wherein the volatile liquid can be heated and volatilized. The method comprises the steps of providing as a volatile material in the liquid in the reservoir an insect control active ingredient selected from the group consisting of natural pyrethrins, pyrethrum extract, synthetic pyrethroids, and mixtures thereof; providing as a wick (31) a substrate comprising granular particles adhered together to form a body having a network of pores and passages, the interior surfaces of which are non-reactive and non-absorptive with respect to the volatile material to be dispensed, the body being formed to occupy the heated location within the heater (25), wherein activation of the volatile dispensing device releases the volatile material from the pores, which volatile material is then dispensed; and, activating the heat source. The granular particles may be glass fused at contact points by means of a cross-linked polymer binder. The insect control active ingredient is typically selected from the group consisting of natural pyrethrins, pyrethrum extract, and mixtures thereof.
