摘要： A method of dispensing a volatile active into the surrounding environment includes the steps of providing a fragrance dispenser having a housing, a fan disposed within the housing and having an airflow director, first and second chambers disposed within the housing, and first and second fragrances disposed in the first and second chambers. The first and second chambers include first and second shutters covering first and second outlets, and first and second heaters, respectively. The method further includes the steps of activating the first heater to volatilize the first fragrance for a first time period, simultaneously activating the fan and the opening the first shutter to dispense the volatilized first fragrance from the first chamber into the surrounding atmosphere, activating the second heater to volatilize the second fragrance for a second period of time, and simultaneously activating the fan and opening the second shutter to dispense the volatilized second fragrance from the second chamber into the surrounding atmosphere.

They are of the type that are clipped onto a belt or the like, and use a powered fan to dispense active. They are configured with fan rotor arrangements to minimize power use while still achieving acceptable air flow rates. These changes permit use of smaller batteries and more compact arrangements for battery positioning. This in turn permits a much more compact and lightweight construction to achieve the desired results. The devices are also provided with a rotatable clip structure to render use of the device more comfortable when the user is seated and to provide greater control over the direction of the dispensing. Further, they are provided with modified lids to facilitate active refill replacement.

摘要： A nozzle is provided for dispensing a liquid from a container in a desirable, nearly rectangular spray pattern. The nozzle includes an actuator having an inlet end adapted to receive liquid from the container and an outlet end, the actuator outlet end defining an outlet chamber. An insert is coupled to the actuator outlet end and defines an insert passage in fluid communication with the outlet chamber. The insert includes at least a first convex shoulder disposed downstream of the outlet chamber, and a nozzle outlet disposed downstream of the first convex shoulder. The convex shoulder may have a radius of curvature and side walls may be provided at an angel of convergence. The radius of curvature and the angle of convergence may be provided within certain ranges to obtain the desired spray pattern at the desired flow rate using typical aerosol can pressures.
