摘要： An engine assembly may include a cylinder head, an intake manifold assembly, first and second vanes, and an actuation mechanism. The first and second vanes may be rotatably coupled to the intake manifold assembly. The first vane may be located within an outlet of a first intake passage and the second vane may be located within an outlet of a second intake passage. The first and second vanes may be displaceable from an open position to a closed position. The first vane may extend along a wall defining the first intake passage when in the open position and the second vane may extend along a wall defining the second intake passage when in the open position. The actuation mechanism may be coupled to the first and second vanes to rotate the first and second vanes between the open and closed positions.

摘要： The present invention provides a flexible fuel, spark ignition, variable boost, supercharged internal combustion engine. A variable speed drive assembly connects the engine output to a supercharger. The engine includes a fuel sensor which provides a signal to an engine controller which determines the type of fuel. The engine controller also receives signals from a mass air flow sensor, a manifold air pressure sensor, a crank angle sensor, a camshaft angle sensor, an oxygen sensor in the exhaust stream and a transmission controller. The engine controller provides control signals to an ignition module, to a fuel injection system, to an electronic throttle control, to a supercharger drive controller and to the transmission controller

摘要： The present invention provides a flexible fuel, spark ignition, variable boost, hybrid powertrain having a supercharger or a turbocharger. In a first embodiment, a spark ignition, internal combustion engine includes a supercharger driven by the engine output through a variable speed drive. A hybrid transmission having an internal electric motor/generator provides supplemental power. A plurality of sensors including a fuel sensor provide data to a master engine controller which controls the operation of a transmission controller, the variable speed supercharger, the fuel supply and the ignition system. In a second embodiment, the motor/generator is associated with the supercharger and is connected therewith through a variable speed drive and also connected to the engine output. In a third embodiment, the supercharger is replaced with a turbocharger.
