    • PURPOSE: To effective make use of exhaust gas without requiring additional facilities and without creasing unwanted secondary waste materials by collecting dusts by a filter which exist in the exhaust gas generated by a volume reducing device for solid waste materials, and by providing a heat exchanger in an exhaust gas line for releasing out of the system in orde to cool the cooling medium for an induction heating coil by the exhaust gas.
      CONSTITUTION: The exhaust gas generated during volume reduction is drawn by an exhaust gas fan 17 in an exhaust gas line 16 from a waste material feeding section 1a through a filter 12 into a heat exchanger 13. The filter mainly collects dusts generated by a shredder 10, and since the used filter 12 with collected dusts on it can be processed for solidification by a volume reducing device, no secondary waste material is generated. Cooling water which has cooled an induction heating coil 8 is introduced through a circulating line 15 into the heat exchanger 13 and the exhaust gas is released out of the system after cooling the cooling medium. The cooled medium is circulated through the circulating line 15 for cooling water, and is again used for cooling the induction heating coil 8. No additional facility is required.

    • PURPOSE:To permit stable continuous operation in a volume reducing device for solid waste by controlling the rotation of a revolving shaft in accordance with the current flowing in a driving power part of a motor, etc. or the change in the torqu loaded to the driving part. CONSTITUTION:The solid waste 2 charged from the waste feed port 1a of a hollow cylindrical body 1 provided with a heating means 8 is gradually transferred in the direction of an outside heating part 1b by the rotation of spiral continuous vanes 3 supported to the revolving shaft 4 and is crushed by the space between the vanes 3 and the body 1. The current value flowing in the driving power part 6 or the torque loaded to the part 6 attains the preset value or above and when the value is maintained for a prescribed period or longer, the control to rotate backward the shaft 4 for the prescribed period, etc. is executed. The stable continuous operation is thus made possible and the damage of the driving power part and vanes is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the cooling efficiency and enable easy and rapid internal washing upon maintenance and the like of the title machine related to the machine suitable for efficiently cooling a high-temperature pulverized body obtained by heating and drying a waste liquid generated in an atomic power station for subjecting the waste liquid to a solid treatment. CONSTITUTION:In the horizontal type cooling machine internally provided with a rotary shaft 4 mounted with a plurality of disks 3, an arc-shaped plates 10 are mounted on the rotary shaft 4 at an angle in a range of 5-35 deg., preferably at an angle in a range of 10-30 deg., with respect to the rotary shaft 4. In this case, if the arc-shaped plates are mounted on the rotary shaft in parallel thereto (an angle of zero with respect to the rotary shaft), no feeding effect of the pulverized body is produced. Further, if the mounting angle is too large, the feed of the pulverized body is too fast, the pulverized body is discharged while it is not yet sufficiently cooled. Therefore, the angle (alpha in Fig.) formed between the arc-shaped plate and the rotary shaft is selected to 5-35 deg., preferably 10-30 deg..
