CONSTITUTION:A ceramic heat-generating body 10 is formed in the following manner: a molybdenum silicide slender wire obtained by the extrusion molding method of a finer ceramic powder by using, e.g. a water binder method is wound to be a coil shape; and it is dried and baked in a vacuum baking furnace. As a result, a small-diameter ceramic wire which is comparatively long can be former as the heat-generating body 10, and its resistance can be enhanced largely. When an electric current is supplies to the coil-shaped ceramic slender wire 10 via lead wires 12a, 12b, infrared rays which are radiated from the slender wire 10 are radiated via a radiation window 14.

Furthermore, the current flowing to the ceramics heating body 12 is switched by a switch 16 in the OFF condition and the ON condition of the main switch 14. That is, the current flows to heat at a high service temperature necessary for measuring in the ON condition of the main switch 14, while the current flows to preheat at a temperature somewhat lower than the service temperature in the OFF condition of the main switch 14.

摘要： PURPOSE:To achieve a high-sensitivity detection without reducing the voltage sensitivity of a pyroelectric element even if the image pick-up part of a body to be detected is large by performing surface division of a light-reception-surface electrode which is deposited on the light reception surface of a pyroelectric substrate into a plurality of parts. CONSTITUTION:A light-reception-surface electrode film is divided into light- reception-surface electrode films 14a and 14b, mounting electrodes 15a and 15b for connecting lead wires are formed on each film, and voltage sensitivity is improved by outputting a voltage independently. Also, since an opposed surface electrode film 18 is grounded as a voltage reference, it needs to be divided and is formed into one piece. A heat absorption film formed on the electrode films 14a and 14b is in the same as the electrode films 14a and 14b and is divided into heat absorption films 16a and 16b. In this manner, each area of the electrode films 14a and 14b becomes the half of the area of the entire light- reception-surface electrode film, thus doubling the voltage sensitivity as compared with a case where the light-reception-surface electrode is single.
