    • PURPOSE:To obtain high color resolution by providing an automatic skew correcting circuit where the scanning direction of an electron beam is symmetrical to the right and left to a stripe filter and 90 deg. phase shift is attained to prevent generation of color mixture between R and B signals. CONSTITUTION:If a relative angle between an electron beam scanned by an electrostatic deflection electrode of an image pickup tube 3 and a color separation stripe filter is caused because of manufacture error, an error signal impossible for correlation is generated. This error signal is detected for vertical and horizontal directions by an H phase error detector 31 and a V phase error detector 32, and after the result is digitized by A/D converters 33, 34, the amount of correction is counted by a CPU35 and converted into an analog signal by D/A converters 36, 37. After the correction command signal is amplified by phase error amplifiers 39, 41, the result is applied to horizontal and vertical skew correcting circuits 52, 53 of electrostatic deflection circuits, the deflection angle of the electron beam is corrected so as to correct the color separation stripe filter 25 and the scanning beam in a way that they are shifted by just 90 deg..

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate a flicker phenomenon, by eliminating a difference of frequency between the vertical synchronous signal and a commercial power source through a differential subtractor circuit. CONSTITUTION:The signal Y supplied from the preamplifier 2 is delayed by the delay circuit 6 and then applied to the low pass filter 15 of 3MHz and the band pass filter 16. A differential subtraction is given through the 50Hz flicker eliminating circuit 18 between the luminance signal supplied from the filter 15 and containing the commercial power source frequency 50Hz and the signal obtained by giving a wave detection through the wave detecting circuit 17 to the space frequency obtained through the filter 16 each. The signal received a differential subtraction is then supplied to the process circuit 9. In such way, the flicker phenomenon caused by the commercial power source frequency and emerging to a reproduced picture can be eliminated.

    • PURPOSE:To improve peripheral resolution, by depositing conductive film on the inside of a bulb wall and using it as a grid formed in an electrostatic focusing lens. CONSTITUTION:Conductive film electrodes 21, 22, 23 are formed by spreading metalic thin film over the inside wall of a bulb 5 through vacuum evaporation and separating it by chemical etching. On the other hand, contact terminals 24 in which small pieces of conductive glass or metallic foil are enclosed are respectively arranged on the conductive film electrodes 21, 22, 23 through the tube wall of the bulb 5. Adequate voltage is impressed on each electrode of terminals 24 by means of springs 26 attached on a voltage impressing support 25 arranged on the inside of a deflecting coil 20 and electrodes 21, 22, 23 are used as an electrostatic forcusing lens. Thereby astigmatism along the periphery of a picture can be eliminated because it is possible to make this tube of a small size act as an electrostatic focusing lens of a diameter larger than that expected from its external shape.
