摘要： A carrier reproducing circuit which can stably reproduce carriers even when the CN ratio is low by measuring the phase of a signal by only using such a period that the multi-valued number is few and controlling a VCO or NCO (numerically controlled oscillator). At the time of reproducing the carriers, the occurrence of a pseudo-synchronous phenomenon is avoided in such a way that rough AFC is performed by inserting SYNC which is modulated with an already known pattern and has a relatively short length into modulated waves and the oscillation frequency of the VCO or NCO is swept over a wide range, and then, the sweeping is stopped at a frequency at which the SYNC is received. In addition, the period of a few multi-valued number having a certain degree of length is provided in the modulated waves and the difference between the frequency of received modulated signals and that of the local oscillation signal of the VCO or NCO in the period is determined, and then, the frequency difference is analyzed by using the phase differential function method, autocorrelation function method, or count method, etc., and the VCO or NCO is controlled based on the results of the analysis.

CONSTITUTION:A non-linear enhance circuit 16 leads an inputted filter output moving image signal component to a band pass filter 19, and extracts only the intermediate and a high frequency band signal component, and leads it to a non-linear circuit 20. Then, the enhance is not given to the part of the low signal level and the high signal level of the signal frequency band, which is enhanced by the non-linear enhance circuit 16, but the enhance is given only to the intermediate and high frequency band signal component of an intermediate level, which can give the improving effect to the definition visually. When the enhance output signal of the non-linear circuit 20 is led to an addition circuit 21, and is added to the filter output moving image signal component, a visual bur is not produced even for a reproduced and displayed moving image with a little motion. Thus, the visual deterioration of the picture quality can be removed without complicating a signal processing.
