    • PURPOSE:To obtain an AC voltage directly without employing a high voltage inverter by a method wherein a means which generates a magnetic field or an electric field whose direction rotates in a plane perpendicular to a beam axis and a plurality of recovery electrodes which are so arranged around the beam axis as to divide the circumference equally are provided. CONSTITUTION:In order to recover two types of charged particle beams, i.e. a deuterium positive ion beam D and a deutrium negative ion beam D , which are generated or remain in a neutralizing cell 2, first a magnetic field B whose direction rotates in a plane perpendicular to a beam axis A is generated by a deflecting coil 3. The beams are deflected to the directions rotating around the beam axis A by the rotating magnetic field B. Then the beams are applied to recovery electrodes 4a, 4b and 4c which are cylindrically arranged around the beam axis A so as to divide the circumference into three parts equally. As the respective beams D and D rotate around the beam axis A, the beams are successively applied to the recovery electrodes 4a, 4b and 4c every one rotation.

    • PURPOSE:To overcome the technical difficulties in the manufacture of an inverter by combining intermittent outputs from a charged particle collector for positive and negative particles to form an AC voltage, wherein the outputs are produced by intermittently operating a negative ion source. CONSTITUTION:An output from an inverter 17, which is a high frequency square wave AC voltage, is brought into a square wave AC voltage with an amplitude of about 1MV by a step-up transformer 18, and this voltage is applied to the accelerating electrodes 6, 6' without any change. A negative ion source, having a kind or rectifying characteristic, output a negative heavy hydrogen ion beam D only when a negative voltage is applied to the accelerating electrode 6 or a positive voltage is applied to the acceleration electrode 6'. The negative heavy hydrogen ion beam D , positive heavy hydrogen ion beam D , and neutral heavy hydrogen beam D are therefore all caused to be intermittent beams of about 1KHz. Output voltages produced by these beams are combined via reverse current preventing diodes 19, 20 after their phase are shifted by 180 deg. from each other, so that the resultant voltage becomes a high frequency square wave AC voltage of about 1KHz having an amplitude of about 1MV. Thus, th inverter 17, 22 can be manufactured easily.

    • PURPOSE:To avoid ripple component and adjust energy resistivity at the time of the discharge destruction of a load, by connecting a capacitive element with polarities reversed to each other, to both the ends of the output lines of two sets of DC chopper units. CONSTITUTION:When current is permitted to flow to DC chopper units 10, 11, and to a capacitive element 12 with polarities reversed to each other, then charge voltage is applied to an inductive element 4 and a leakage reactance 14. In this case, the DC chopper units 10, 11 are controlled to be synchronized with the ripple voltage of a DC power supply device 1 so that voltage time integrating values with opposite phases and half waves may be made equal to each other. Because of the pure resistance of a load 5, the ripple voltage is cancelled, and ripple component generated from the DC power supply device 1 is avoided. In the meantime, when discharge destruction is generated on the load 5, then by the working of the DC chopper units 10, 11, conductive current Ib flows reversed to the charge voltage of the capacitive element 12 and is gradually attenuated to come to zero. In this process, the electromagnetic energy of the inductive element 4 and the leakage reactance 14 of a rectifier transformer 1a is absorbed to the capacitive element 12 as electrostatic energy to be stored.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a compact circuit together with reduction of the cost by controlling the voltage rise characteristics of an acceleration power supply based on the rise characteristics of an arc current. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 13 is closed, the current I of a constant current source 11 always flows through the switch 13 and no arc current iA flows. When the switch 13 is opened, the current I is shunted to a capacitor 15 and a load 14. In such a case, the current iA rises up in an exponent function curve of a time constant CR4 (C: capacity of the capacitor 15). When a switch 21 is closed at a time point t1, the voltage of a reference voltage generator 22 is applied to the input Y of a function generator 20. The generator 20 receives the information CRA on an arc power supply through the other input X. Then the generator 20 functions as the reference signal of an automatic control circuit 19 by an output Z serving as a proper function. A vacuum tube 17 controls the voltage Vacc of an output terminal 23 so that the other input of the circuit 19, i.e., the signal of a voltage divider 18 is coincident with the reference signal.
