摘要： A system has a first electrode, a second electrode, a photosensitive member located between the first and second electrodes, a recording member located between the first and second electrodes, and an optical shutter. In this system, light having information to be recorded is applied to the photosensitive member. The light information is recorded on the recording member. An exposure amount of the light with respect to the photosensitive member is set by setting a time during which the optical shutter remains open. A drive voltage of a predetermined variation manner is applied between the first and second electrodes during the recording of the light information on the recording member.

摘要： A plate-making apparatus equipped with an optical system and a light-light transforming device comprising a photoconductive layer and a light-modulation layer which are in confronting relation to each other and which are interposed between a pair of electrodes. The optical system supplies optical information to the photoconductive layer, and the pair of electrodes are for generating an electric field therebetween to be applied to the photosensitive layer and the light-modulation layer. Also included in the apparatus for emitting light having a predetermined wavelength, the light being led to the light-modulation layer to generate reflection light therefrom which is modulated in correspondance with the optical information supplied from the optical system to the photoconductive layer. The reflection light is arranged so as to illuminate a photosensitive resin layer, which is in turn denatured or hardened in response to the illumination so as to produce a print plate.

摘要： An apparatus for recording information carried by an electro-magnetic radiation beam. The apparatus has a recording unit having two electrodes, a photoconductive member and a recording member of liquid crystals capable of holding electric charges, the members being arranged so as to face each other between the electrodes. An electro-magnetic radiation beam carrying information to be recorded is directed to the photoconductive member under presence of a voltage across the electrodes. An electric field corresponding to a conductivity variation of the photoconductive member according to the information is thus applied to the recording member to form a charge latent image corresponding to the information on the recording member. The recording member is then heated so that an intensity of the applied electric field exceeds a specific threshold level at which an optical characteristic of the liquid crystal begins to vary according to the charge latent image. Therefore, the information is recorded in the recording member as the optical characteristic variation.
