    • PURPOSE:To improve heat absorptivity and to make possible excellent laser beam processing by forming a coating layer contg. a laminar crystal lattice structure material on the surface of a work piece then processing the work piece. CONSTITUTION:The coating layer contg. 1 or >=2 kinds of so-called laminar crystal lattice structure materials such as fluorinated graphite, tungsten bisulfide, boron nitride and molybdenum bisulfide as the essential component is formed on the surface of the work piece and thereafter the work piece is processed. The need for a conventional preliminary operation such as blasting and chemical etching of the surface of a metal, etc. which required labor and time is thus eliminated and the heat absorptivity of the work piece surface is surely improved.

    • PURPOSE:To form a defectless penetration bead in the stage of performing one- side welding of metallic materials by using a backing strip by interposing a coating layer contg. a specific material having a laminar crystal lattice structure between the metallic materials to be welded and the backing strip. CONSTITUTION:One-side welding of materials 1, 1' to be welded such as steel materials by using a backing strip 2 is accomplished by interposing a coating layer 12 contg. a material having a laminar crystal lattice structure such as boron nitride, graphite, graphite fluoride, tungsten disulfide, molybdenum disulfide or the like as an essential component between the materials 1, 1' and the strip 2 and subjecting these materials to one-side welding. The layer 12 has excellent heat resistance, electrical insulating characteristic and release property and therefore a penetration bead 3 which is free from defects such as a blowhole, undercut, overlap, etc. unlike the coating layer consisting of other materials and has excellent quality is easily formed. The layer 12 is repeatedly usable and is highly economical as well.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a welding spatter adhesion inhibitor which can improve the efficiency of welding and can realize labor saving by mixing a water-soluble resin and an anionic surface active agent of a film forming property as indispensable components, in a nonionic surface active agent. CONSTITUTION:About 20-60wt.pts. a water-soluble resin of alkyd compound, acrylic compound, etc. is mixed in 100wt.pts. nonionic surface active agent of polyethylene glycol alkyl ether, etc. whose HLB is >=9. Also, about 30-90wt.pts. organic acid ester of fatty acid, amino acid, etc., or a copolymer of said organic ester salt and other monomer is mixed, and said spatter adhesion inhibitor is obtaind. In this regard, as for the water-soluble resin, the alkyd resin is desirable especially since its compatibility to a paint and an excellent result is obtained, in case of painting the paint from the upper part. Said inhibitor is a type used for both direct painting, and degreasing and washing, and also convenient since it is a general purpose one for welding of various welding structure materials and different kinds of metals.
