摘要： PURPOSE: To enable an existing tanker to transport drinking water by accommodating many carrying containers which are full of drinking water and are connected one another with connectors in a form of a kinematic chain, into ballast water.
CONSTITUTION: A chain of impermeable carrying containers 4, each of which is full of drinking water and is connected flexibly with connectors 2 in a form of a kinematic chain, is assembled. After an empty tank being cleaned, clean ballasting water is loaded. Then the chain of carrying containers 4 is lowered down into a clean ballast tank 6 by a hoisting crane 8 with a hatch 7 opened. This configuration enables an existing tanker, even if it has no exclusive ballast tank, to transport a large amount of drinking water safely and economically without any particular modification.
