摘要： A method and/or an apparatus normalizes a page flow into a portlet. The method comprises: generating at least one portlet based on one or more pages in the page flow; building at least one of an intra-portlet action and an inter-portlet action for the least one portlet; and modifying a Uniform Resource Locator URL in the at least one portlet. With the method and the apparatus, the page flow developed by a developer can be automatically normalized into the portlet which is easier to be shared between difference applications and integrated with an existing portal application, so that the developer can focus on development of page flow while achieving user experience and advantages specific to the portlet.

In an embodiment, risk of flooding for a supply chain is computed from the aggregated and transformed data, using data analytics based on physical computation for flood risk assessment, allowing the supply chain to be optimized with regard to threat of flooding and/or actual flooding. In another embodiment, risk of wild fire may be assessed. Other types of risk may also be assessed.

摘要： A distributed computer system includes a distributed processor, a distributed memory, and a simulation engine (SE). The SE includes a simulation I/O coupler that links a first variable of a first simulation model I/O data structure to a second variable of a second simulation model I/O data structure. The SE includes a natural language processing system that extracts a first variable description associated with the first variable, determines similar character strings to the first variable description from an information corpus, and ranks the determined character strings based upon similarity to the first variable description. The SE links the first variable to the second variable if the rank of an equal character string to the second variable description is greater than a rank threshold. The SE may augment the simulation model I/O data structures by writing a value of the first variable to a value of the second variable, or visa versa.

摘要： Aspects of the present invention provide a solution for calibrating a model of a complex flow system. In an embodiment, a comparison is made between the output from the model and a set of observed values for each of a plurality of nodes in the complex flow system. An adjoint sensitivity is computed for each of the nodes based on the comparison. These computed adjoint sensitivities are used to adjust a set of coefficients of the models. This calibration process can be performed multiple times, periodically and/or continuously to maximize the accuracy of the model.
