摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of existing protocols that are designed to protect the connection between a Universal IC Card (UICC) and a terminal in which: these protocols cannot be initiated until Authentication and Key Agreement (AKA) and generic bootstrapping architecture (GBA) with UICC-based enhancements (GBA_U) processes are complete, as a result of which the protocols allow for eavesdropping of keys.SOLUTION: A method and apparatus is disclosed for securing the interface between a UICC and a terminal in wireless communications. The security of AKA and application level of GBA_U procedures is improved. A secure shared session key is used to encrypt communications between the UICC and the terminal. The secure shared session key is generated by using authenticating or non-authenticating procedures.
