    • The invention relates to a device for detecting the reverse rotation of a rotating part of an internal combustion engine, having a crankshaft (3) whose rotation, by means of a sensor (6) and a detector disk (2) which is connected to the crankshaft (3) and has a reference mark (5) and a multitude of similar angle marks (4), are sent by the sensor (6) to a control unit (1) in the form of pulses, having a camshaft (7) whose rotation is detected by means of an absolute angle detector (8), wherein the output signal of the absolute angle detector (8) steadily rises or falls within a period depending on the rotation direction of the camshaft 7. The output signal of the absolute angle detector (8) is supplied to the control unit (1) for processing. In order to detect reverse rotation of the internal combustion engine, three successive angle values &phgr;(k−2), &phgr;(k−1), &phgr;(k), are scanned from the output signal of the absolute angle detector (8) and are compared to one another in an algorithm in such a way that in the event of a malfunction with reverse rotation, the equation: &phgr;(k)

    • A device for transferring measured values obtained by a sensing device to a processing device for processing these measured values is described. The described transfer device is provided with an interface between the sensing device and the processing device. The interface device has a memory in which the measured valued obtained by the sensing device are stored together with the respective time points at which the measured values were obtained. Actual values of the variable measured by the sensing device together with their measurement times are thus available to the processing device under all circumstances with a minimum effort. Other actual values can be obtained at times before, between or after the respective time points at which the measured values were obtained by interpolation, extrapolation or other estimation methods from the measured values and associated time points stored in the interface.

    • The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for controlling and regulating an internal combustion engine 6; via a transducer disk 16 on the crankshaft 12 and a pickup 15, the annular position of the crankshaft 12 is ascertained continuously, with gasoline direct injection valves, in which the fuel injection valves 5 receive the fuel 1 from a pressure-imposing electric fuel pump 9 via a fuel rail 7. A control unit 25 evaluates the output signals of the pickup 15 to determine the annular position and to ascertain the rpm; depending on the annular position, the control unit 25 trips injection and/or ignition pulses. According to the invention, to detect the phase relationship of the engine 6, the pressure course in the fuel rail sensor 8 is evaluated. Upon blowback at compression counterpressure of fuel-air mixture into one of the injection valves in the event of an incorrect phase relationship offset by 360° KW, this leads to a significant pressure increase in the fuel rail sensor 8; the fuel rail sensor signal is delivered to the control unit 25, and as a result by means of the control unit a reverse synchronization by 360° KW of the ignition and injection is effected, and the affected fuel injection valve 5 into which the blowback takes place is immediately closed.
