    • Disclosed is an apparatus and method for preventing liquid refrigerant accumulation in an accumulator of an outdoor unit of an air conditioner. The method includes the steps of: determining a state of a compressor; if the compressor is in standby mode or off state, turning on a four-way valve; determining whether the state of the compressor in standby mode or off state continues longer than a predetermined amount of time; and if the state of the compressor continues longer than the predetermined amount of time, closing an expansion valve. Particularly, high-pressure refrigerant flows in the closed expansion valve while low-pressure refrigerant flows in a check valve through the four-way valve. The apparatus includes a suction pipe connected to spray oil of the accumulator to the compressor; a liquid recovery pipe with one end being connected to the suction pipe and the other end being connected to the accumulator; and a liquid recovery valve for controlling opening/closing of the liquid recovery pipe, in which a compressor of the air conditioner in cooling or heating mode is operated and a liquid recovery valve for controlling a liquid recovery pipe connected to the compressor and an accumulator is opened to reduce oil in the accumulator. According to the present invention, when the compressor is off, it is possible to prevent liquid refrigerant accumulation by changing refrigerant flow line to the accumulator and the refrigerant at the lower end of the accumulator can be recovered.

    • An internal voltage generation circuit for a semiconductor device includes a voltage generating unit for converting the level of an external voltage in accordance with a reference voltage applied thereto, a driving unit for receiving an output signal of the voltage generating unit and an internal voltage fed back thereto and outputting a predetermined level of the internal voltage, a region detecting unit for detecting a timing point when the external voltage is lowered below the predetermined level thereof, and outputting a signal corresponding thereto, and a switching unit for supplying the external voltage to the internal voltage or interrupting the external voltage in accordance with the output signal of the region detecting unit. The circuit prevents an error operation which may occur in the semiconductor device, when the level of the external voltage is lowered.

    • A memory cell data equalization control circuit is provided for sensing data stored in a memory cell. The memory cell data equalization control circuit outputs the sensed data through a bit line and an input/output line in an input/output stage of a semiconductor memory device. The circuit includes a feedback unit for generating a plurality of feedback signals in accordance with a signal output from a main amplifier coupled to the input/output line and an equalizer for equalizing the input/output line in accordance with a first feedback signal. The circuit self-equalizes the data input/output line using the feedback signals generated according to the output from the main amplifier to enhance the data input/output speed. The circuit further controls the coupling of the bit line and the data line to reduce electric power consumption. Further, the circuit prevents instability in an applied system caused by glitching of an address signal.
