摘要： Provided are a mobile device and method for operating a graphic user interface (GUI) in connection with a specific screen of a media-related application. In the method for operating the GUI, the mobile device displays a GUI screen containing a media region and a text region. The media region is provided for at least one medium disposed therein. When text is inputted in the text region, the mobile device correlates the text with one of the at least one medium. Additionally, when there is a touch on the media region, the mobile device modifies the GUI of the touched media. This method allows a user to conveniently write a message to which at least one media is attached. In case where a plurality of media are attached to a message a check of the media selected as an attachment and the associated text can easily be made.

The mobile device preferably includes an RF communication unit for supporting communication services; a touch panel for sensing input touches; a display unit for displaying a screen, where the screen includes at least one of a preset image, text, and map; and a controller for setting a touch-lock in the touch panel according to a preset condition. The controller also controls the display unit to display at least one of a text and image or at least one particular icon corresponding to the information reception event that occurs, based on the RF communication unit, in the touch-lock state. A portion of the display screen can be locked, or only certain predetermined touch functions permitted.

摘要： A touch-based mobile device and a method for performing a touch lock function of the mobile device are provided. In the method, the device displays a touch lock screen in which a cover layer is superimposed over a specific underlying screen and allows the underlying screen to be visible. When an input of a touch moving gesture is detected, the device moves the cover layer depending on the touch moving gesture, and determines whether a distance of the touch moving gesture reaches a predefined critical distance. If so, the device removes the cover layer from the touch lock screen and switches the touch lock state to a touch unlock state, thus allowing a user to more conveniently switch the touch lock state to the touch unlock state.

The method and apparatus halts an input function by a particular mode that is executed when a present event occurs on the mobile device, creates a new input area, allows for a user's gesture-based input, and controls the function of the mobile device according to the user's gesture. The method includes: sensing an event that occurs while the mobile device is operating in a particular mode; and creating a new input area for receiving a user's gesture-based input and providing it. When the event occurs, the input function with respect to data of the particular mode is halted. The new input area is provided as a fog screen having a fog effect. The functions of the mobile device are controlled according to a user's gestures that are performed on the fog screen.
