    • The cushioned cover for traffic structures comprises various embodiments configured for installation over concrete traffic barriers (e.g., “Jersey walls,” etc.) or about vertical columns, posts, stanchions, etc., e.g., bridge support columns. The cover includes inner and outer layers formed of rubber, preferably using recycled tire material. A medial layer includes additional resilience. In one embodiment, the medial layer includes a plurality of closely spaced hemispherical elements, preferably formed of highly resilient polybutadiene material. In another embodiment, the center layer includes a plurality of closely spaced, pneumatically interconnected inflatable hemispheres. The traffic barrier covers may include planter box receptacles set into their upper surfaces when installed, and/or solar cells set into their upper surfaces to charge a storage battery for powering lighting set into the sides of the cover. Tread patterns may be provided in the outer surfaces of the traffic barrier covers.

    • The protective overgarment is intended for use by persons who engage in potentially hazardous activities, such as motorcycling and mountaineering. The overgarment is formed of generally circumferential elements that extend around the legs, torso, and arms of the wearer. The circumferential elements are connected by a plurality of connecting elements that extend along the sides of the torso and limbs of the wearer. The elements define corresponding open ventilation passages therebetween, providing greater comfort for the wearer during warm weather. Each of the elements is formed of at least one distinct layer. One layer may be a sheet of resilient rubber or the like. Another layer may be pneumatically inflated or filled with foam plastic material. Yet another layer may also be foam-filled and covered with a stretch fabric for comfort. Additional knee, shoulder, and chest protection is provided by removable rigid plates.

    • The inflatable splint is formed of an inner shell of thin, semi-rigid material and at least one pneumatically inflated ply surrounding the inner shell. A second pneumatically inflated ply may be placed around the first pneumatically inflated layer. The inner shell may be lined with a soft fabric material, or a soft fabric sock or sleeve may be applied over the injured limb for comfort. The innermost semi-rigid ply of the splint may be formed in two halves that attach removably to one another to allow the assembly to be removed from the wearer from time to time for hygiene, therapy, and/or other reasons as required. The pneumatically inflatable outer plies are each formed as a single wrap. An inflation device may be provided with the assembly, for the convenience of the wearer to adjust the inflation pressure of the outer pneumatic ply or plies.
