摘要： PURPOSE:To permit highly accurate monitoring with simple constitution of a device by a method wherein the density of a work to be treated under hot isostatic pressurizing(HIP) process is operated from the measured weight of the work to be treated, the operated density of pressure medium gas and the mass of the work to be treated, which is measured previously before hot isostatic pressurizing process, while the advancing condition of the HIP process is monitored. CONSTITUTION:An amount of strain detecting means 23 outputs the amount of strain epsilon of a putting table 8 as an electric signal from the output of a strain gauge 10 into a weight of work to be treated operating means 24. The weight of work to be treated operating means 24 operates the weight B of the work 7 to be treated, which is under HIP process, from the amount of strain epsilon and outputs it to a density of work to be treated operating means 26. The density of work to be treated operating means 26 operates the density of pressure medium gas from the weight B of the work 7 to be treated, the density P of the pressure medium gas and the mass A of the work 7 to be treated before the HIP process and outputs it to a density of work to be treated indicating means 27. In this case, the mass A of the work 7 to be treated before the HIP process is measured previously before the HIP process and is outputted from a weight of work to be treated setting means 25 into the density of work to be treated operating means 26.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a mechanically strong porous material having a large number of through pores by forming through holes on a porous material with inlet voids by changing pressure of a pressure medium during hot isotropic pressurizing (HIP) under a given condition. CONSTITUTION:A porous material 1 having inlet voids 2 is subjected to HIP treatment by using a pressure medium at a temperature to soften or melt a material part 3 of the porous material. During the treatment, the pressure of the pressure medium is changed or the pressure medium is made to flow from one side of the porous material 1 to the other. Communicating parts 4 connected to the inlet voids 2 at both sides of the porous material 1 are destroyed to form through holes by parsing through the pressure medium.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve strength while increasing opened porosity by executing hot isostatic pressurizing to a porous body composed of ceramic quality, etc., and having the opened pores at the specific temp. to make the matrix part close and uniform. CONSTITUTION:To the porous body composed of the ceramic quality and/or metallic quality and having the opened pores, the hot isostatic pressing is executed at the temp., which the matrix part in this porous body is softened or melted, to make the matrix part close and uniform. Then, the opened porosity in the porous body is made 20 -90%, the treating pressure in the hot isostatic pressing is made 0.1 - 1000 MPa, and the treating temp. is made to in the range of + or -20% of absolute temp. to the sintering temp. or vitrified temp. under the ordinary pressure. By this method, the defects of the closed pores at the matrix part, inner crack, segregation, etc., are eliminated, and the closeness and uniformity in the matrix part are attained and this can be utilized as various kinds of diffusers and filters.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compacting method for metal and ceramic materials by the use of a powder as a starting material and also to provide a new compacting method where reduction in the die cost in a small-quantity and multikind production system is made possible and also the production of green compacts of complicated shapes, impossible by means of a die, can be performed without use of a die. SOLUTION: In the method of compacting a granular body as a starting material into a green compact, a foamed form mold is used. This mold is an acrylic resin type or styrene resin type plastic form or foamed form mold. Compaction is performed by using this mold by means of cold isostatic pressing. In this method, the contraction of this mold is utilized. This mold is constituted so that the infiltration of the pressure medium from the outside of the mold toward the inside can be prevented. Further, this mold has an easily releasing property. Moreover, at the time of releasing the resultant green compact from the mold, resin, such as polyethylene wrap film and silicone, and the like are used, or the foamed form is degreased by heat treatment.

In this case, porosity of the whole grinding wheel is set in a range of 5-60%. Additionally, as the ferrous metal, it is selected from a group consisting of iron powder, carbon coated iron powder, nitrogen iron powder and a mixture of carbon and iron. The grinding wheel such as this is manufactured by heating and sintering at 900-1150 deg. after moulding the abrasive grains and the binder in a specified dimensional shape by way of mixing them, and a mechanical characteristic of the binder part and holding power of the abrasive grains are controlled by adjustment of the porosity.

By this method, the specific gravity of the gas becomes extremely high to increase the buoyancy on the raw material. Thereby, a zero gravity state can be produced for the material, and thereby, the zero gravity state can very easily be produced on earth.
