摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily construct a peripheral wall and shorten a construction period for a tunnel with a large cross section by connecting each other neighboring cylinders in extremely easy way. SOLUTION: A rectangular cylinder 11 as part of a peripheral wall constituting a tunnel with a large cross section has lateral liner 12 arranged at the upper and lower sides and vertical liners 13 arranged at the ends and middles of the lateral liners 12. Connection members 14 made from steel rods are slidably supported on a pair of lateral liners 12A at one side by supports 16 made from rollers. After cover plates provided at the ends of the lateral liners 12A are removed, the connection members 14 are fed to the lateral liners 12B at the other side constituting each other neighboring rectangular cylinders 11, applied over the holders 23 of the lateral liners 12B at the other side and fixed to the lateral liners 12A, 12B to connect each other rectangular cylinders 11 via the connection members 14.

A connection tool 25 for which engagement portions 27 to be inserted into engagement spaces 28 between the locking portions 26 of the joint tools 24 are mounted on both sides of a connection tool mainbody 29 is mounted in such a marmer that the engagement portions 27 are inserted in the engagement spaces 28 between the joint tools 24. The engagement portions 27 of the connection tool 25 being inserted in the engagement spaces 28 between the joint tools 24 are formed large enough for somewhat of clearance therearound. Sealing materials 30 are mounted between the joint tools 24 and at the lower side between the joint tools 24 to fill grout material 31 in the inside spaces.
