摘要： An embodiment includes a main compute node that detects the physical presence of a first user and subsequently loads a profile for the first user. The main compute node may detect the first user's presence based on detecting a first compute node corresponding to the first user. For example, the main compute node may be a desktop computer that detects the presence of the first user's Smart phone, which is nearby the first user. The main compute node may unload the first user's profile when the main compute node no longer detects the first user's presence. Upon detecting a second user's presence, the main computer may load a profile for the second user. The profile may include cookies and/or other identifiers for the second user. The profile may facilitate the second user's navigation of a computing environment (e.g. web pages). Other embodiments are addressed herein.

摘要： A wireless Packet Switched Network WPSN is divided in Paging Groups PG, each PG having a plurality of Base Station BS, each PG being controlled by Paging Controller PC within a Aggregation Router AGR. A mobile node MN operates according to a power management protocol and enters an idle mode for a predertermined idle interval . During the idle interval the current Aggregation Router may generate a packet stream, which is buffered in the Paging Controller. When MN turns to awake mode it is to receive a paging signal. When paged the MN replies, thus being localized by the network. Then, the Paging Controller knows where to send the buffered packet stream. If the MN, after it turns to awake state, is localized to another Paging Group (e.g. PG2 belonging to PC2, which is part of AGR2) the PS is routed/tunelled from AGRl to AGR2 and forwarded to MN via PC2.

摘要： A media access controller (MAC) of a broadband wireless communication device generates a data unit payload from fragments of more than one service data unit, constructs an initial data unit from the data unit payload, and combines the initial data unit with data units of another service flow for subsequent transmission. The MAC reconstructs a new data unit when at least a portion of one of the fragments of the initial data unit is not acknowledged as being received. In some embodiments, the new data unit is reconstructed using blocks of a same fragment and blocks of an untransmitted fragment. The same fragment may include both blocks that were acknowledged as being received and blocks that were not acknowledged as being received. In some embodiments, portions of the initial data unit payload are rearranged to generate smaller data units for retransmission when channel conditions have degraded.

摘要： A media access controller (MAC) of a broadband wireless communication device may vary the size of data unit payloads based on a physical layer burst size. In automatic retransmission request (ARQ) enabled service flows, the MAC may delay construction of data units from the data unit payloads until after entering an ARQ retransmission request window. In some embodiments, the MAC comprises per-flow schedulers to schedule service data units (SDUs) for each of a plurality of service flows, and per-service flow retransmission request handlers to reconstruct and retransmit data units.
