摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain drive reduced in load to be applied to all of chain drive parts by remarkably reducing a large force or the maximum force appearing in a short time, in regard to a chain drive for an internal combustion engine having a driving wheel 2, a driven wheel 3, an endless circulating chain 1 for communicating these wheels 2 and 3 with each other, a chain tensioner 9 for working on a slacked side 7 of the chain 1, and an auxiliary tension device 12 loaded with a spring 13 to work on a tensile side 6 of the chain 1 and arranged freely to turn.
SOLUTION: Other driven wheel 4 is fitted to the tensile side 6 of the chain drive, and used as a driving wheel for a balance shaft supported freely to turn to adjust the force and the torque to be generated during operation of the internal combustion engine.

摘要： At least one screw (15a) used to secure the casing (17) to the engine (19) is located in the feed channel (21) or a section thereof used to supply hydraulic fluid to the cylinder space (18). The tensioning device includes a hydraulic part (30b) screwed to the engine and has a casing which defines the cylinder space used to locate a piston actuated by a spring (preferably a compression spring) and a hydraulic fluid. The piston is guided directly or indirectly inside the casing and cooperates with a tension bar which can be pivoted or moved in a linear direction and is supported by a drive member. The casing contains a feed bore (20) and a feed channel for the hydraulic fluid which form a connection between the cylinder space and a fluid bore (22) in the engine. An independent claim is also included for a hydraulic tensioning device characterised by preferably two screws inside the cylinder space securing the casing to the engine and by the feed bore extending in a radial direction relative to this space in order to form a direct connection between this space and the fluid bore in the engine.
