    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve assembly with a variable flow measuring chamber for a combustion powered tool. SOLUTION: The assembly is provided with a housing partitioning the measuring chamber having an inside volume and including an entrance and an exit, and a plunger constituted to reciprocate to the chamber for adjusting the inside volume of the measuring chamber. Preferably, the plunger is adjustable by a user for changing the fuel quantity retained in the measuring chamber. In the housing, a first valve control controls a fluid flow passing through the entrance, a second valve control controls the fluid flow passing through the exit, and an operating assembly is connected to the valve and continuously operable from a first position where a first spring eccentric valve is opened and a second spring eccentric valve is closed, to a second position where the both of the first and the second spring eccentric valves are closed, and to a third position where the first spring eccentric valve is closed and the second spring eccentric valve is opened.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a control mechanism including a work contact member and a control member in a driving tool of a fastening tool by providing a spool constraint member in such a manner as to be movable between the spool constraint position and the spool release position, and energizing the same to the spool constraint position.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a combustion chamber in a closed state until a piston returns to its start position. SOLUTION: A combustion type power tool 10 comprises a self-contained combustion power source 16 which carries out combustion for pressing a driver blade 66 against a fastener which is therefore driven into a workpiece, a housing 12 surrounding the power source 16, a combustion chamber 38 defined at the upper end of the housing 12, and a cylinder 58 arranged to have a fluid communication with the combustion chamber. A vale member 50 is arranged for closing the combustion chamber 36, and a piston 64 with the driver blade 66 is reciprocated within the cylinder 58 between a start position and a drive position. A workpiece contacting element 52 is movable, relative to a nose piece 26, and when the nose piece 26 makes contact with the workpiece, the workpiece contacting element 52 is moved so that the valve member 50 closes the combustion chamber 36. A delay means is engaged with the workpiece contacting element 42 and a link in order to delay the opening of the combustion chamber 36 by the valve member 50 until the piston 64 is returned to the start position after driving the fastener.
