摘要： A method for the manufacture of micro metallic structures having high aspect ratios is provided, wherein said method comprises the step of photolithographically producing trenches in a substrate. Polymer chains are formed on the inner surface of said trenches. Thus, the critical dimensions in the photolithographical process can be reduced to any dimension down to zero. The method is quite general in its application to any process that includes the definition of a critical dimension by photolithography. Immediate applications are the reduction of the read and write dimensions in thin film magnetic heads, but the invention can be used in any technology where the manufacture of microstructures having a high aspect ratio is of interest.

An electrical contact device (70) can be arranged between the bushing piece (85) of the plug-in holding mechanism (60) and the structural holder (50). The adapter module (40) is used for compensating the angle and the vertical position between the fitting piece (20) and the supporting structure (30). The adapter module (40) is a block of a solid material, the connecting surfaces of which extend at an angle from each other. The adapter module (40) is mounted such that the connecting surfaces are oriented at different angles and arranged at different distances from each other. In addition, during assembly, the adapter module (40) can be fastened so as to be partially lowered into the fitting piece (20) at different depths and, if required, also at a desired inclination.
