    • A mortise lock includes a case having first and second sidewalls. A follower plate is pivotably mounted in the case and actuatable by a key-operable cylinder to move a latch bolt from an extended position to a retracted position. A locking plate is moveable by the cylinder through transmission by a lever link between an unlocking position allowing movement of the latch bolt and a locking position not allowing movement of the latch bolt. The locking plate is active when a connecting member is slideably extended through a slot in the first sidewall and through an engaging hole of the lever link into another engaging hole in the follower. The locking plat is inactive when the connecting member is slideably extended through another slot in the second sidewall and engaged in the engaging hole of the follower and not engaged in the engaging hole of the lever link.

    • An outer operational device includes a cover mounted to a side of a door. An actuating member is mounted in the cover and includes an end engaged with a handle to rotate therewith. A sliding member is slideably received in the cover and operably connected to the actuating member, so that the sliding member slides when the actuating member rotates. A limiting member is pivotably received in the cover between a blocking position not allowing movement of the sliding member and a release position allowing movement of the sliding member. The handle is rotatable when the limiting member is in the release position. The handle is not rotatable when the limiting member is in the blocking position. A key-operable lock core is operably connected to the actuating member, so that the limiting member can be moved to the blocking position to provide a burglarproof function.

    • A phase interpolation circuit including a first multiplexer, a second multiplexer, an interpolator and a duty-cycle repeater is provided. The first multiplexer receives a plurality of even order signals. The second multiplexer receives a plurality of odd order signals. The interpolator receives a first reference signal composed of one of the even order signals through the first multiplexer, and receives a second reference signal composed of one of the odd order signals through the second multiplexer. The interpolator divides a phase difference between the first reference signal and the second reference signal into a plurality of sub-phases according to a digital control signal, and selects one of the sub-phases to generate a differential input signal. The duty-cycle repeater adjusts the duty cycle of the differential input signal and accordingly generates a differential output signal with 50% duty cycle.

    • An encoding system includes a sampling unit, a computing unit, a comparing unit, a quantifying unit, and an encoding unit. The sampling unit obtains first sample data of a current sampling point and second sample data of a previous sampling point. The computing unit computes a data difference between the first sample data and the second sample data. The data difference includes a numeral and a sign. The comparing unit determines whether the data difference is more than or equal to 0 and outputs a determining result. The quantifying unit quantifies the numeral of the data difference. The encoding unit encodes the numeral of the data difference with or without the sign according to the determining result.
