    • Disclosed is a method of interactive display that includes providing a touch-based display screen capable of stereoscopic displaying of object images that further includes displaying a plurality of object images on the display screen, wherein at least a first of the object images is selectable and displayed so as to appear to be located at least partially in a zero-plane of the display screen, wherein at least a second of the object images is displayed so as to appear to be located at least one of inwardly and outwardly of the zero-plane, receiving a first input at a location of the display screen substantially corresponding to the first of the object images, and identifying the first input as corresponding to the first of the object images that is selectable and taking at least one further action upon the identification.

    • Embodiments relate to systems and methods for touch-based two-stage text input. An electronic device (102), such as a wearable wireless device, can be configured with a two-stage input interface (116) on a display (104). A first stage can include a seek area (120), which displays a subset of letters or other symbols to represent the full range of symbolic elements that are available, in a compressed form. The user can identify an intended target range (128) by touching an area at or around the letter or other symbol of interest. That input triggers the display of a second stage of the interface in a separate selection area (122), in which all letters or other symbols in the target range are expanded and displayed. The user can then touch and lift off the letter or other symbol they wish to choose, for example, to insert in a message or application.

    • A telephone is described that allows any arbitrary combination of key strokes, including numerical keys, extension keys, as well as function keys such as TRANSFER, CONFERENCE, etc., to be programmed such that the entire sequence of key strokes can be recalled with the touch of a single button. The phone can be programmed directly by operation of the telephone user interface on the phone (i.e., the keys, phone display, and speaker prompting the user) and a program button dedicated to the feature of programming a separate programmable button to map to the specified key sequence. The feature can be implemented in advanced telephones capable of voice over Internet Protocol networks, and supporting the Session Initiation Protocol. In these more advanced phones, the programming can be done by a system administrator or by the user of the phone via a computer with internet access.

    • A method for call parking in a network telephony system is disclosed. A first user agent and a second user agent establish a communication session, and the second user agent enters a call park number to initiate a call park of the communication session. Subsequently, the call park number and the location of the second user agent are sent to a server, which authorizes the second user agent for call parking. The server then registers the call park number, and the communication session between the first and second user agents is parked. When a third user agent wants to pick up the communication session, the third user agent calls the server by entering the call park number. The server then routes the third user agent to the second user agent, which in turn refers the third user agent to the first user agent. The first and third user agents then establish their own communication session, the communication session between the first and second user agents is terminated, and the call park number is deregistered.

A synchronization message is generated in a media access control layer of the transmitter at the time t1. The time t1 is inserted in the synchronization message when the synchronization message is passed from the media access layer to a physical layer at the time t2.
