SOLUTION: This image signal recording device is controlled to sequentially record two-system endoscope image signals in a same recording area of an image signal recording section 14 or, when the 2-system endoscope image signals are simultaneously input in an image signal input section 12, can select either of a mode where one endoscope image signal is superposed on the other endoscope image signal and recorded in the same recording area of the image signal recording section 14, or a mode where the two-system endoscope image signals are sequentially recorded in different and individual recording areas of the image signal recording section 14 and the input time of one endoscope image signal is recorded in each individual recording area of the image signal recording section 14.
