    • An aspiration sprayer comprises a head which is preferably permanently attached to a container in which additive material is received. The head may or may not be movable between positions controlling the degree of aspiration affected, and is provided with a cap movable between a first position in which the cap seals the container and prevents the additive material from escaping therefrom and a second position in which the container is unsealed and aspiration of the contents thereof can take place. Elements may be provided as part of the sprayer assembly for controlling the flow of the aspirating fluid. The cap is secured in its sealing position by an element which requires special manipulation for release, thereby providing an important safety feature.

    • An oscillating sprinkler is specially designed to facilitate assembly, as well as disassembly for purposes of repair of replacement of parts, without sacrifice of water-tight integrity and with improved operating characteristics. The housing for the impulse wheel and for supporting one end of the sprinkler tube is formed of two parts snapped together to effect the necessary seal, the sprinkler tube is mounted therein by a snap action insertion, thereby to define an operating subassembly, and that subassembly is reliably assembled with a mounting subassembly by sliding insertion and snap action retention. The sprinkler tube is sealingly journaled in such a manner as to produce very low friction, thus reducing the load on the impeller wheel and enabling the sprinkler to have a very low pressure drop therethrough, thereby increasing the sprinkling range of the device. The linkage between the impeller wheel and the sprinkler tube is manually accessible and is provided with a snap connection so that the linkage can readily be manually disconnected and connected. The construction lends itself to producing a low-profile, low cost unit.

    • A pulsating sprinkler utilizes an improved method of anchoring the helical torsion spring at one end to the sprinkler body and at the other end to the impact arm to facilitate the assembly process and provide a more reliable and uniform spring action. A radially ridged member adapted for connection to a fluid source carries a pair of sector stops, each extending totally about a circumference thereof and having a single tab enabling rotation of the sector stop in both directions. When employed as a full circle sprinkler, the sprinkler automatically corrects the direction of rotation of the sprinkler body in the event that it initially rotates in the wrong direction.

    • A pulsating sprinkler incorporating a three-position trip mechanism facilitating forward/reverse rotation and continuous rotation. The trip mechanism includes a trigger for reversing direction of rotation of the sprinkler, a latch for engaging an impact arm, and a control arm for maintaining the trigger in a fixed position. The trigger, latch and control arm are joined to a common pivot on the sprinkler body. A multiple position diffuser and deflector lever is adjustable for various degrees of diffusion or deflection of a water stream. The sprinkler body is easily removed from the bushing assembly by compression of snap fingers located at a terminal end of the spring body. Further, an O-ring radially seals a space between the bushing assembly and the sprinkler body. An impact arm having two plates with separated vanes extending between the plates or an impact arm with a single plate with two downwardly projecting vanes may be used for ease in molding and increasing manufacturing efficiency.

    • A device to control the flow of fluid uses a cam and ratchet wheel. A valve is operated by the cam portion of the wheel, which bears against the valve stem causing it to open. Fluid flow causes a pawl to drive the ratchet portion of the wheel, rotating the wheel until the valve stem bears against a low point in the cam, permitting the valve to close. A part of the ratchet portion does not contain ratchet teeth, in which area the pawl cannot drive the wheel. In this area, the cam has an increasing radius from a radius corresponding to a closed valve, to a radius corresponding to a fully open valve. This permits manual control of fluid flow without disengagement of the device.

    • A portable hose reel cart comprises a cart frame, a rotatable reel, and wheels secured to said frame. The frame comprises a handle portion, a support portion, and a pair of angled intermediate portions disposed on opposite sides of the frame and connecting the handle and support portions.
