    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeve for die casting having no need of heating and holding to a high temperature region in the middle of cooling after centrifugal casting, having no generation of cracks in a covering alloy layer even if being air-cooled to ordinary temperature, and having sufficient hardness and strength in an outer tube to die-casting.
      SOLUTION: The sleeve for die-casting is obtained by coating the inside face of a hollow cylindrical outer tube with an erosion resistant and wear resistant alloy by a centrifugal casting process, and the outer tube is composed of a non-heat-treated steel. Further, as the outer tube, a steel based material, when being heated at 900 to 1,300°C and thereafter cooled to ordinary temperature at a cooling rate of 10 to 80°C/min, having a substantially pearlitic structure or a mixed structure of ferrite and pearlite is used.
