SOLUTION: The optical pickup is provided with: an optical base with a laser diode for emitting laser light fixed thereon; a wiring board having a diode mounted thereon which detects reflected light reflected by an optical disk of the laser light emitted from the laser diode; and a radiation plate which is formed using a material having a lower specific heat capacity than the optical base and which is disposed at the fixing position of the wiring board in the optical base.
