摘要： The apparatus includes elements, e.g. GTO's (UGTO, VGTO, WGTO) connected to the positive arms respectively of a full-wave controlled-rectifier bridge circuit rectifying the output of an AC power source (Ea). The current flowing through a load (L) is circulated through a circulating loop when any one of the switching elements is turned off. A plurality of series circuits each including a capacitor (Cf) and a reactor (LF) connected in series is connected across the power supply lines of the AC power source, so that an overvoltage induced in the power source part when any one of the switching elements is turned off can be absorbed by the associated capacitor, and a discharge current discharged with a sharp rise from the capacitor to flow through the circulating loop when the switching element is then turned on is suppressed by the associated reactor. In other embodiments the apparatus chops rectified AC, Fig. 11, or inverts rectified AC, Fig. 12. In each of these latter embodiments, a single series circuit of a capacitor and a reactor is connected across the input power supply lines to the chopper switching element and inverter switching elements. The apparatus may be used in a rail vehicle, Fig. 13, or an elevator, Fig. 14.

摘要： PURPOSE: To suppress the overvoltage of a power converter at the current interrupting or conducting time by providing a voltage absorber connected in series with a capacitive element and an inductive element at the side of a power source when power converting by switching means having a current interrupting function.
CONSTITUTION: A converter COM in which a GTO, UGTO, VGTO, WGTO and thyristors U2, V2, W2 are connected to a full-wave bridge circuit is connected to a 3-phase power source Ea, and power is supplied to a load L such as a DC motor. A voltage absorber VA in which a capacitor CF and a reactance LF are connected in series is connected between power lines near the anodes of the GTOs. Therefore, a circulating current 2 is suppressed by the overvoltage at the load side at the current interrupting time, the overvoltage is effectively absorbed by the capacitor CF at the interrupting time at the power source side and by the reactance LF at the conducting time after the interruption, thereby avoiding the increase in the capacity of the converter COM.

摘要： An elevator control apparatus comprises an inverter device for supplying an induction motor for driving an elevator cage with AC electric power of variable voltage and frequencies and control equipment for controlling the output voltage and frequencies of the inverter device in response to signals produced in floors served by the elevator and in an elevator cage. The inverter device is constructed by a converter unit for converting AC electric power to DC electric power, at the input end of which a capacitor is connected in parallel with an AC electric source, an inverter unit for inverting the DC electric power converted in the converter unit into AC electric power, at the output end of which a capacitor is connected in parallel with an induction motor for driving the elevator cage and a DC reactor connected between the converter unit and the inverter unit. The thus constructed elevator control apparatus does not cause interference in electric appliances such as audio equipment, computer etc. existing within a building in which the elevator is installed.

In the electric power converter constituted by a plurality of self quenching type semiconductor switching elements connected in series, high efficiency is attained through reduction in size of the gate driver and electric power saving.

摘要： A method and apparatus are disclosed for controlling a pulse width modulating (PWM) inverter controlled for ignition by a PWM pulse (EU, EV, EW) produced with a carrier wave (g) and a modulation wave (e). The method comprises sampling an amplitude of the modulation wave (e) at a cycle rate related to the frequency of the carrier wave. The modulation wave and the carrier wave are synchronized when the sample modulation wave amplitude has a peak value (VR) greater than an amplitude (H) of the carrier wave. The modulation wave and the carrier wave are asynchronized when the sampled modulation wave has a peak value less than the amplitude of the carrier wave.

摘要： A single phase, full wave diode bridge circuit is connected with a chopper on its DC output side. An output voltage of the chopper is smoothed by a smoothing capacitor and thereafter supplied for a load. A current control apparatus forms a current reference signal which is synchronized with an AC voltage applied to the bridge circuit and has a magnitude corresponding to a current flowing through the load and produces a deviation signal between the current reference signal and an actual AC input current of the bridge circuit. The chopper is controlled in accordance with the deviation signal so that the AC input current follows the current reference signal, whereby the power factor and the waveform of the AC input current in the bridge circuit are improved.
