摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic drive device of a circuit breaker not affecting an operating time, even when a pilot valve is out of order.
SOLUTION: A contact of the circuit breaker has a movable contact piece 1 and a fixed contact piece 2 connecting and breaking current. A piston 5 is mounted on one end part of a shaft, on the other end part of which, the movable contact piece is mounted, and the piston is housed in a cylinder 4. A switching valve 13 switches oil pressure for driving the piston. Pilot valves 50, 60 are installed in order to switch the switching valve. Each pilot valve is equipped with a pair of valve bodies 53, 55, 63, 65 arranged so as to face each other, and springs 54, 64 connecting each pair of the valve bodies 54, 64. The valve body at one side has a stroke up to coming into contact with the valve body at the other side.

When initially electrifying the coil, attraction of the permanent magnet 7 is larger than the fixed core 1, and after the predetermined time is passed, the attraction force of the fixed core 1 is larger than the attraction force of the permanent magnet 7 and the hydraulic reaction force of a ball valve 6.

CONSTITUTION:The comparatively low-level of the high voltage of impulse voltage generator 1 is supplied to gas insulated electric apparatus 3 through variable inductance 2. The electrostatic capacity of apparatus 3 is set so that the resonance may be caused by inductance 2, and as a result the output of generator 1 has vibrations. Then this voltage is applied to apparatus 3 to carry out a test for the characteristics of the impulse dielectric strength.
