    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coil joint insulation structure of a rotary electric machine which can be fixed both when the series joint is projecting longitudinally and laterally by filling compound uniformly up to the back of the series joint with no gap.
      SOLUTION: In the coil joint insulation structure of a rotary electric machine for applying an insulation cap to the series joint, the insulation cap is formed of a pair of combination insulation cap pieces. The insulation cap piece has a main wall portion, two opposing sidewalls rising from the edge of the main wall portion, and a rear sidewall closing between the rear end sides of the opposing sidewalls. The pair of combination insulation cap pieces include a groove into which the opposing sidewall of the other insulation cap piece is inserted such that the inner and outer surfaces of the opposing sidewall and the rear sidewall overlap each other.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electrical machine which can stably support the coil end of a stator even if the number of installed spacers is reduced.
      SOLUTION: Stator coil ends 3E jutted from stator cores 2 are bound together and supported with a plurality of supporting rings 5A-5C, and also spacers 8 are installed in the vicinity of adjacent stator coil ends of different phases (U, V, and W) between the supporting rings 5A-5C, thus the stator coil ends 3E that the spacers 8 contact are bound and supported with one another. By installing the spacers 8 only in the vicinity of the stator coil ends 3E of different phases adjoining each other in its circumferential direction where a large electromagnetic force works between the supporting rings 5A-5C, the number of installed spacers 8 can be reduced, and the stator coil ends 3E of different phases can be supported firmly, so that the stator coil ends can be supported stably.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect the groove face part of the conical surface in a ridgeline from the outer surface of a square column to perform precise inspection over the whole periphery of a welding groove face.
      SOLUTION: The welding groove face positioned within the ridgeline of an inspection target comprising the square column is inspected by a two-probe method using two probes holding the ridgeline and the central part of the welding groove face positioned between ridgelines is inspected by one probe method. Both of them are used to perform the flaw detection of the whole periphery of the conical welding groove face in the inspection target. At a place where the two-probe method is performed, within a plane containing the normal line with respect to the flaw surface including the flaw present on the conical welding groove face in the inspection target, the ultrasonic beam transmitting and receiving direction of the respective probes and a probe scanning position are set at a position of regular reflection with respect to the normal line.
