    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform underwater testing with a small volume testing box provided with a means for surely removing clogging at defects without diving, even when clogging at penetration defects of such as underwater parent material and welded part.
      SOLUTION: The underwater testing device is provided with: the testing box 1, containing ultrasonic vibrator 76 inside and having a seal packing on the opening end surface 45 contacting an object part to be tested of liner 30; a water jet ejector 29 for draining inner water of the testing box 1 up to a state of not exposing the ultrasonic vibrator 76; a negative pressure generator 11 for making the inside of the testing box 1 negative pressure and supplying the water jet ejector 29 with jet water; and ultrasonic oscillator 77 for cleaning the object part to be tested of the liner 30 by driving the ultrasonic vibrator 76, in a state of not being exposed to the internal water of the test box 1, wherein the part to be tested of the liner 30 is cleaned prior to defect test.
