    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate maintenance and management of a system and to maintain the continuation of a service in: a home server for managing and controlling a home network, particular purposes and the states of apparatuses connected to the network; and a center server system for managing and operating a group of home servers in a centralized manner.
      SOLUTION: The network maintenance technology is composed of: a database 105 which interconnects networks in a home server 101 for managing neighboring networks and setting/managing an emergency apparatus therein; a discrimination part 104 for discriminating whether an apparatus matches the database; a telegraphic message creating part 107 for announcing the state to the outside on the basis of the discriminated result; a communication part 108 for transmitting a created telegraphic message; a communication part 121 for receiving the telegraphic message in a center 120; an analytic part 122 for analyzing the received telegraphic message; a communication part 126 for reporting abnormality to a center manager on the basis of the analysis result; databases 124, 125 for managing a transmitter, device numbers and the like; and a judgement part 123 for judging presence/non-presence of abnormality in a gateway from the data of a device number and a transmitter.

    • PURPOSE:To contrive reduction in time loss in printing, by causing a controlling part to effect printing after paper jam, starting from the first printing data for the page having been printed when the paper jam has occurred, based on a stored printing condition and a paper jam detection signal from a sensor. CONSTITUTION:When transmission data is present in a host device 2, data transmission to a printer 1 is conducted, and printing data is stored into a data memory 1b. When it is found that paper jam is absent upon detection by a sensor part 1f, an instruction for printing is outputted, and printing is conducted sequentially on the first, second and latter pages of a continuous form paper 5. When paper jam is detected during printing on the third page, a detection signal is sent to a controlling part 1a, the occurrence of paper jam is reported to the host device 2, and transmission of the printing data is stopped. The end of the printing data and the time of occurrence of the paper jam are stored. After disposing of the jam and resetting a paper, the operator depresses a preparation completion key to send a recovery signal to the controlling key 1a, upon which the first printing data for the page relevant to the occurrence of the paper jam is immediately detected, and the third page is printed starting from the head. Thus, the loss of time in printing after disposal of paper jam can be minimized.

    • PURPOSE:To decrease the repetition of mis-recognition by recognizing an input voice, responding to it with the closest voice pattern, comparing the next input voice and the preceding voice when the input is recognized as an error and responding to it with the next closest voice pattern when they are coincident. CONSTITUTION:A voice input/output device 1 of a radio equipment fixed station 2 compares and collated input data with a registered voice pattern data in advance and stores the closest voice pattern and the 2nd closest voice pattern in a storage secton 9. A recognition device 6 recognizes the received voice data in the device 1 and inputs the result to a control section 8. The control section 8 extracts the closest voice pattern stored (9) from the result of recognition, a voice synthesizer 7 synthesizes it and returns the reply voice. A speaker 5 of a radio mobile station 3 listens to the response and it is discriminated as mis-recognition, a new voice signal is sent to represent the notice. The device 6 of the fixed station 2 compares and collates the voice signal inputted newly with the preceding voice signal, and when they are coincident, the control section 8 extracts the next closest voice pattern from the storage section 9, synthesizes (7) them and sends the result to the mobile station 3.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the printing processing capability of a printer as a whole by providing an intermediate sheet guide between the left and right sheet storage hoppers of a printer, partitioning a sheet of an identical type or a different type using an intermediate sheet guide, sucking sheets in a single suction, performing simultaneously printing of the same documents and also of the same documents on different pages, and further simultaneous printing of different documents. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate sheet storage hopper 2, a left sheet storage hopper 14 and a right sheet storage hopper 6 are assembled in a sheet guide 8, and a printing sheet 10 is held by moving the sheet over the sheet guide 8 to the left and the right. The printing sheet 10 is transported to a sheet guide 19 by the rotating force and friction force of left and right pickup rollers 14, 16. In addition, a detachable intermediate guide 20 which splits a printing sheet storage space is provided in the intermediate sheet storage hopper 2. Printing sheets are transported to a main printer system from an automatic sheet feeder by a single suction to perform simultaneous printing of the same documents and of the same documents on different pages and further, simultaneous printing of different documents.

CONSTITUTION:On a command of a positive/negative printing direction change- over signal SEL1, a preceding/succeeding change-over circuit CH2 selectively outputs a shift signal SIFDTF corresponding to a preceding dot from a preceding dot shift register SIFF1 and a shift signal SIFDTB corresponding to a succeeding dot from a succeeding dot shift register SIFB1 to an OR gate OR1 and an OR gate OR2. The OR gate OR1 is connected to a drive circuit DRV1 driving a right wire arrangement of a printing head, and the OR gate OR2 is connected to a drive circuit DRV2 driving a left wire arrangement of the printing head. In the diamond-shaped wire arrangement printing head HD1, the right wire arrangement precedes and the left wire arrangement succeeds in a positive direction printing, and the left wire arrangement precedes and the right wire arrangement succeeds in a negative direction printing.

    • PURPOSE:To ensure the protection of each circuit component of a printer against an overcurrent by detecting a maim current running into a driver circuit including a semiconductor switch which controls a drive current for a printing head or a motor, and outputting a command signal for stopping the driver circuit if the current exceeds a set value. CONSTITUTION:When an overcurrent runs through a driver circuit 14, a terminal voltage on a resistor 16 of an overcurrent detection circuit 15 increases, and a transistor 17 is turned ON, if the voltage is higher than a voltage for actuating the transistor 17. Then an overcurrent detecting signal is output through a flipflop 25. After this, the flipflops 11,13 are reset, and the entry of phasic data or dot data into driver circuits 12, 14 is prevented. Consequently, the action of the driver circuits 12, 14 stops to cancel an overcurrent state, and the driver circuits 12, 14, a pulse motor or a printing head 2 are protected against the current. In the meantime, when an overcurrent detecting signal is connected to a microcomputer 10, the latter turns a lamp on an operating panel ON or warns a user about the occurrence of an abnormality with a buzzer or an alarm.
