    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric current bonding apparatus which can perform a uniform bonding by controlling the temperature difference caused in the joining surfaces between metallic members regardless of shapes and sizes of the metallic members to be bonded in the case of performing the electric current bonding of the metallic materials to each other. SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with a plurality of the metallic members 101, 102 which can be energized, a pressurizing device which makes a pressurizing force act on the plurality of the metallic members to press the metallic members to each other, electrodes 11, 12 which are installed in the plurality of the metallic members and make pairs of a plurality of sets for heating the metallic members by resistance heat generation, a power source device 6 which supplies a current to the plurality of the sets of the electrodes, and an energization controller 5 which performs energization by switching the sets of the electrodes to energize the plurality of the electrodes from the power source device.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process capable of performing a sound bonding without any defects while suppressing a compressive deformation in a pressurizing direction due to the bonding.
      SOLUTION: In the electric current bonding process by which the electric current is allowed to flow between the members in the state where pressurization is performed so as to generate specific pressure on contact surfaces by making a plurality of conductible members in contact with each other, the members are heated by resistance heat generation of the contact surface and the inside of a material and the members are bonded with each other, the temperature in the bonding part and the dimensional change of the members and pressurizing force imparted to the member are measured. In the state where time change of the temperature in the bonded part is positive, when detecting that the time change of the member size is negative, at least one of pressurizing force control for reducing the pressurizing force to the member and the energization control for controlling the energization so as to hold the temperature in the bonded part or to lower to a predetermined value is performed.
