    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable cover for pantagraph which can transform the mutually piercing parts of members to be driven with different frequencies such as a current collector and a cover, keeping its watertightness, with low resistance and low noise, so as to improve the followability to the displacement of the level of overhead wiring, in the pantagraph of a rolling stock running at high speed.
      SOLUTION: This movable cover structure for a pantagraph keeps usually its horizontal plane by fastening and coupling the segmental undersurfaces of an annular plate divided into plural pieces by an elastic body, and in case that the current collector is displaced upward to the maximum working height dimension of the pantagraph, the movable cover is displaced upward into convex stairs, and its external envelope is displaced into the shape of an elliptic cone, and it forms annular recesses in the shape of sideway V among the annular plates thereby reducing noise. In case that the current collector is displaced downward, the space within the cover lies by the amount of the downward displacement of the movable cover, so it can lower the folding height of the pantagraph as compared with the case of sliding packing structure.
