    • A liquid crystal display panel is composed of a plate of ferroelectric material, a group of electrodes arranged in a first direction on one surface of the plate, a second group of electrodes arranged in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction on a second surface of the plate, dielectric films disposed on the first group of electrodes, intermediate electrodes the main part of which is situated on each of the dielectric films and the side part of which is situated on a second surface of the plate opposite each of the second group of electrodes. A transparent substrate is arranged opposite the second surface of the plate, a third group of electrodes are arranged on the transparent substrate opposite and parallel to each of the second group of electrodes and means is provided for connecting each of the second group of electrodes to each of the third group of electrodes which is opposite to the former, and a liquid crystal is interposed between the transparent substrate and the plate.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an SAW (surface acoustic wave) filter having a large out- band attenuation quantity by forming plural cross conductor electrode group filters within a piezoelectric substrate having the same size as a normal band pass SAW filter substrate and connecting these group filters in series. CONSTITUTION:The upper and rear sides 1-2 and 1-3 of a parallel plane piezoelectric substrate 1-1 are polished to mirror surfaces, and input cross conductor electrode groups IDT1-4 and 1-6 and output cross conductor electrode groups IDT1-5 and 1-7 are formed on the sides 1-2 and 1-3 respectively. A band pass SAW filter is formed with IDT1-4 and 1-5 and IDT1-6 and 1-7 respectively, and two SAW filters are connected in series to each other via a lead wire 1-9. In this case, the substrate 1-1 is used for a normal SAW filter. In such a way, the IDT filters are formed on both sides of a piezoelectric substrate and then connected in series to each other to obtain an SAW filter having a large out-band attenuation quantity.
