摘要： A power tool includes a battery pack, a motor, a switching element, a detecting circuit, and a protecting circuit. The battery pack includes a battery. The motor is driven with an electrical power supplied from the battery pack. The switching element is provided between the battery pack and the motor to selectively allow the electrical power to be supplied to the motor when the switching element is turned on and prevent the electrical power from being supplied to the motor when the switching element is turned off. This arrangement can increase the effect of heat dissipation from the lithium-ion secondary battery cells, without enlarging the capacity of a battery pack (2) for housing secondary battery cells.
