    • PURPOSE:To always and appropriately execute white balance adjustment and to eliminate an optical color temperature correction filter at the time of a change in the color temperature of an illumination light by adding correction data to control data for white balance adjustment. CONSTITUTION:The operator of a camera switches color temperature switching signal S in accordance with the color temperature of the illumination light of a subject. A selection switch circuit 23 selects a color temperature data file 20 when the color temperature is 4700 deg.K in accordance with the switching. Thus, color temperature data corresponding to the color temperature of 4700 deg.K is inputted to an adder 24, is added to a control data from a file 9 and supplied to respective signal processing devices 6-8, whereby white balance adjustment of output video signals (r), (g) and (b) corresponds to the color temperature of 4700 deg.K and it comes to an optimum state. If color temperature similarly changes to other temperature, the signal S is switched, whereby either files 21 or 22 is selected, correction data is added to control data and optimum white balance adjustment can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to correct the distortion of a picture image with high accuracy with a small scale circuit by merging distortion correction waveforms generated fro two distortion correction waveform generating circuits and correcting the distortion of a picture image. CONSTITUTION:Each corrected output from a low grade deflected distortion correction waveform generating circuit 30, a four cornors independent correction waveform generating circuit 31 and a digital system correction waveform generating circuit 32 are inputted to a deflecting circuit 33 in a red color channel horizontal direction. This corrected waveform is piled up on a horizontal saw tooth waveform 34 and after converted to current, it is outputted to a deflecting coil 35 and a deflecting distortion is corrected. So that it is possible to suppress the deflecting distortion of a picture under 0.6% when a low grade deflection correction waveform and a four cornors independent correction waveform are merged, the corrected waveform by a digital system does not change so much and the generation of shading is prevented and also,the memory size of the digital system correction waveform generating circuit 32 is restrained less than normal and it is constituted with a small scale circuit because a correcting capacitance in the digital system is enough with a six bits length. Thereby, it is possible to obtain a picture image distortion correction with high accuracy.

CONSTITUTION:An output of an image pickup element 1 is written alternately to 2-systems of line memories 6A, 6B by using a 2-dimension sensor able to pick up a signal whose aspect ratio is 16:9, the signal is read alternately from the line memories whose write is finished, and when a video signal whose aspect ratio is 16:9 is obtained, all the information written in one line is read by the same clock frequency as that at write, and when a video signal whose aspect ratio is 4:3 is obtained, only a part corresponding to the portion whose aspect ratio is 4:3 in the picture whose aspect ratio is 16:9 is written in the line memories 6A, 6B by using the same write clock as the case whose aspect ratio is 16:9 and the write/read is implemented by using a frequency being a multiple of 3/4 of the write clock to obtain the video signal having the same quality of horizontal/vertical resolution is obtained independently of the aspect ratios (16:9 and 4:3).

    • PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous control by detecting whether lamps of a pattern projector are disconnected or not and interrupting execution of auto-setup to display this state if they are disconnected. CONSTITUTION:Individual color lights of R, G, and B from light source lamps 3, 4, and 5 are condensed by a condenser 6 and are applied to a pattern projector 7. These optical information are separated to individual optical information of R, G, and B by a color separating optical system 9, and they are converted photoelectrically by image pickup tubes 10, 11, and 12. Signals from image pickup tubes 10, 11, and 12 are supplied to video processing circuits 13, 14, and 15. Video signals from these video signal processing circuits are supplied to an auto-setup 16 with a CPU as the center and are so operated that color balance information are equal to one another, and they are fed back to video signal processing circuits 13-15. If disconnection of projector lamps 3-5 is detected, the operation of the auto-setup circuit is interrupted by a signal from a detecting circuit 8, and abnormality is displayed on an error display device 17.
