    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily peel and dismantle an optical fiber cable by cutting a jacket layer as an outermost shell and a rough wrapping member wrapping a press-wrapping layer as an inner shell simultaneously without damaging a coated optical fiber in a cable core when dismantling the optical fiber cable.
SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable 10 is characterized by: attaching the press-wrapping layer 1 on the outside of the cable core 4 longitudinally in the axial direction; superimposing a tear string 2 on the press-wrapping layer along the axial direction of the above cable core 4; also holding the tear string and the above press-wrapping layer by the rough wrapping member 3 wrapped around the above cable core; and covering these above rough wrapping member 3, tear string 2, and press-wrapping layer 1 with the jacket layer 5. The above jacket layer 5 and the above press-wrapping layer 1 can be peeled and dismantled simultaneously by pulling the above tear string in the outside direction of the diameter.
