摘要： A plate replacing apparatus for a printing press having plate lockup devices for fixing the two ends of a plate located in a gap of the circumferential surface of a plate cylinder and wound around the circumferential surface includes an old plate holding mechanism and a new plate holding mechanism. The old plate holding mechanism receives and holds an old plate removed upon release of the plate lockup devices and pivotal movement of the plate cylinder. The new plate holding mechanism removes the old plate and feeds a new plate to the plate cylinder.

摘要： A plate lockup apparatus for a printing press includes a leading-side lockup device, a trailing-side lockup device, and a cam mechanism. The trailing-side lockup device is located in the gap of the plate cylinder and grips a trailing edge of the plate, the trailing-side lockup device having a lockup table and a gripper plate, each having a plate gripper surface extending in a radial direction of the plate cylinder. The lockup table and the gripper plate are connected to each other at non-gripping ends thereof through a shaft. The cam mechanism has a cam, a cam surface of which is in contact with the lockup table. The cam mechanism is operated such that at a start of pivotal movement of the cam, the plate gripper surfaces of the lockup table and the gripper plate are closed to grip the plate, and at an end of pivotal movement of the cam, the lockup table and the gripper plate are moved together in a circumferential direction of the plate cylinder to tighten the gripped plate.

A controller changes a transfer bias voltage Vt during the supply of paper to 0 V before the trailing edge of recording paper arrives at a transferring nip part, changes it to a transfer bias voltage V0 during the non-supply of paper after the trailing edge of the recording paper has passed the transferring nip part, and changes a charging bias voltage to a charging bias voltage smaller than a normal charging bias voltage when an area on the photosensitive drum to which 0 V has been applied passes a charging nip portion. The transfer bias voltage V0 during the non-supply of paper is smaller than the transfer bias voltage Vt during the supply of paper.

The semiconductor wafer thinning process includes the first step of preparing a carrier formed of a base and a suction pad provided on one surface of the base or formed of a base film with an adhesive, the second step of bonding a semiconductor wafer to the carrier in such a manner that a rear surface of the semiconductor wafer with no circuit elements formed therein is opposite to the carrier to form a wafer composite, and the third step of holding the carrier of the wafer composite with its semiconductor wafer side up and spin-coating an etchant on the rear surface of the semiconductor wafer thereby to make the semiconductor wafer thin.
