    • A photo-setting resin composition having a good storage stability; using no hexavalent chrome; having well-balanced photosenstive and dyeing properties; capable of being developed with an aqueous solvent; and having a superior resolution when a color filter is formed, is provided, which composition is obtained by copolymerizing as effective components, a monomer expressed by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents H, CH.sub.3 or C.sub.2 H.sub.5 ; X represents --O-- or --NH--; Y represents a linear chain or branched hydrocarbon group of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; .PHI. represents ##STR2## wherein R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each represent an alkyl group of 1 to 4 carbon atoms and Z.sup..crclbar. represents an anion,with a monomer expressed by the formula ##STR3## wherein R.sup.4 represents H, CH.sub.3 or C.sub.2 H.sub.5 and X and Y each are as defined above.

    • It is an object of the present invention to allow a specified function to be readily selected in a mobile telephone or the like without performing a complicated operation. A liquid crystal (30) is sandwiched between a TFT substrate (10) and a color filter substrate (20). A photosensor TFT (130) for selecting the function is disposed on the periphery of an effective screen of the TFT substrate (10). A window (24) is provided in a portion of the color filter substrate corresponding to the photosensor TFT (130), and the outside light is blocked as a result of the user touching a finger to the window. A signal from the photosensor is used for selecting the function. A correction sensor TFT (133) is disposed adjacent to the photosensor TFT (130), to thereby eliminating noise caused by the temperature distribution, stray light, or the like, and erroneous operation of the photosensoris prevented.

    • A liquid crystal display device which can reduce a scale of the whole counter-electrode-signal drive circuits is provided. The liquid crystal display device includes: a substrate; a plurality of counter electrodes which are formed on the substrate corresponding to pixels; a plurality of counter electrode signal lines which are formed on the substrate, are electrically made conductive with the counter electrodes, extend in the X direction, and are arranged parallel to each other in the Y direction which intersects the X direction; and counter electrode signal drive circuits having control signal outputting parts which are mounted on the substrate at a rate of one control signal outputting part for two counter electrode signal lines.
