    • A method for controlling power in a battery-powered electronic apparatus is disclosed. The electronic apparatus includes a battery, a detection unit and a power consumption estimation unit. The battery supplies electric power to each device within the electronic apparatus. The detection unit periodically detects total power consumption of the electronic apparatus and device information representing an operating state of each device within the electronic apparatus. The power consumption estimation unit estimates power consumption of the each device based on the detected total power consumption and the detected device information of each device.

    • A wireless hub, connected to the USB bus of a computer, and a wireless port, connected to a USB interface of a peripheral device, are provided, and wireless communication is performed between the two. The wireless hub performs communication with the computer by converting a USB packet routed to a device into a wireless signal, and a wireless signal received from a device into a USB packet. The wireless port attached to each device also converts a wireless signal into a USB packet and vice versa. While it is normal for a plurality of wireless ports to be connected to a single wireless hub, an arrangement of one wireless hub and a corresponding single wireless port is also possible. A wireless hub and a wireless port each have a device identifier assigned to them, and in the USB-wireless conversion, a non-specific destination identified by a USB address and bus topology is converted into a device identifier. Inter-host communication is enabled by using the device identifier.

    • Chemical treatments for detackification and separation of over-sprayed paints and lacquers in spray booths without corrosion and pollution problems. Water used to wash the air in paint or lacquer spray booths in order to remove over-sprayed paint or lacquers is treated with alkali-metal zincates optionally further containing strong cationic polyamine to reduce the tackiness of paint and lacquer solids and thereby reduce the tendency of oversprayed paints and lacquers to adhere to walls, ceilings and floors of said spray booths and also to condition the paint and lacquer solids removed with the water so that they can be separated and the water recycled for further use in washing the air in the spray booth. Furthermore, very little corrosion of air ducts, walls and ceilings of said spray booths, due to concentrated salts from the added chemicals, is expected because both alkali metal zincates and cationic polyamines contain only trace amounts of chlorides and sulfates.
