摘要： An operating apparatus 1100 of a brake apparatus 1001 for restricting rotation of a brake drum 1003 including an operating lever 1112 and an operation restricting portion 1120 is provided. The operating lever 1112 is supported to be able to operate in a movable range. The movable range includes: a brake release mode permitting rotation of the brake drum 1003 both in regular rotation and reverse rotation; and an auxiliary brake mode restricting only reverse rotation of the brake drum. The operating lever 1112 is urged in a direction reaching the auxiliary brake mode from the brake release mode in a normal state. The operation restricting portion 1120 restricts a movement of the operating lever 1112 reaching the auxiliary brake mode by being brought into contact with the operating lever 1112 in the brake release mode.

摘要： In a time division multiplex (TDM) signal in which a symbol is sent one by one periodically, a unique word in the TDM signal is recognized quickly in a receiving station. A receive station has essentially N number of correlators each having a specific unique word pattern. A unique word pattern in each correlator is obtained by shifting by predetermined symbols cyclically from a reference unique word pattern. Each correlator provides a correlation value between a received TDM signal which includes a unique word and a unique word pattern defined in the correlator. Among outputs of N number of correlation values, which exceed a predetermined threshold value, the correlator which provides the maximum correlation value is selected, and the receive timing of the unique word is determined by the correlator thus selected.

The method includes a step of setting a time window for making a decision based upon a predetermined threshold level, the time window having a time period corresponding to a transmission data rate in the digital communication system, a step of detecting a time duration positioned within the time window, a level of a received signal being higher than the predetermined threshold level during the time duration, a step of assuming a substantially middle point of the time duration as an optimum decision point of the received signal, and a step of updating the time window so that the updated time window has its center at a position of the assumed optimum decision point.

摘要： An automatic drilling machine has an electric drilling unit on which a cylindrical cutter is rotatably mounted. The drilling machine includes a drill motor for rotating the cutter and a feed motor for linearly moving the cutter for the purpose of drilling into materials such as concrete. The current flowing through the drill motor before a drilling load is imposed thereon is detected for a microprocessor to determine the type of the cutter being used. The drill motor is driven at a rotation speed suitable for the cutter being used and the feed motor is driven at a speed such that the rotation speed of the drill motor thus set is maintained unchanged. Particularly, the drill motor is driven at a reduced rotation speed from the start of drilling until a predetermined drilling depth is reached to reduce chatter vibration which may otherwise be generated if the drill motor is driven at a regular constant speed from the beginning of drilling until the end.

摘要： A method for manufacturing a nitride film including a high-resistivity GaN layer includes a step of allowing a Group-III source gas containing an organic metal compound, a Group-V source gas containing ammonia, a carrier gas for the Group-III source gas, and a carrier gas for the Group-V source gas to flow over a predetermined monocrystalline wafer maintained at 1,000° C. or more and also includes a step of epitaxially growing a nitride film, including a GaN layer, on the monocrystalline wafer by a vapor phase reaction of the source gases. At least one of the carrier gases contains nitrogen while the wafer temperature is being increased before the reaction is carried out. At least one of the carrier gases contains hydrogen and nitrogen and has a total hydrogen and nitrogen content of 90 percent by volume or more in at least one part of the epitaxially growing step.
