    • Herein disclosed are a portable information terminal and a communication system according to the present invention. The portable information terminal comprises an information providing unit 109 for providing information in accordance with a providing method which the information providing unit 109 is set to, a providing pattern data storage unit 104 for storing therein pattern data associating each of the providing methods with a location and a moving speed, a sensor unit 102 for detecting a current location and a moving speed, and a providing method control unit 106 for obtaining the providing method associated with the current location and the moving speed from the providing pattern data storage unit 104 and controlling an output port 108 to change the providing method previously set to the information providing unit 109 to have the information provided in accordance with the providing method indicated by the obtained pattern data.

    • Coaxial cables can connect both apparatus which are provided inside and outside a closed space without opening a through hole and a gap into a wall and door. In a coupling apparatus for connecting coaxial cables each other through a dielectric plate, there are provided a pair of central electrodes which are respectively connected central conductors of the coaxial cables, an inductor which is connected between at least one of the central conductor and the central electrode, and a pair of outer electrodes which oppose each other through the dielectric plate and surround the central electrodes, respectively, and each of which is connected to each of the outer electrodes. It is possible to connect the coaxial cables through the dielectric (glass) plate.

In the coaxial cable coupling device of the capacitor coupling type, in the case where center conductor coupling electrodes for connecting between center conductors of the coaxial cables and external conductor coupling electrodes for connecting between external conductors are used, electric length of the external conductor coupling electrode is set to length of substantially one fourth (1/4) wavelength, or length of multiple of odd number of substantially one fourth (1/4) wavelength of a passing signal. Thus, transmission by the coaxial transmission mode is carried out at an extremely low loss.
