    • According to one embodiment, an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus is disclosed. The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprises an image data acquisition unit which transmits and receives an ultrasonic wave on a plurality of cross sections by selected one of ultrasonic scanning while swinging a one-dimensional array probe and ultrasonic scanning using a two-dimensional array probe thereby to acquire image data for each cross section, a reconstruction unit which reconstructs volume data using a plurality of image data acquired by the ultrasonic scanning, an image generating unit which generates at least one first image using the volume data and a plurality of second images corresponding to the cross section scanned by the ultrasonic wave using the plurality of image data acquired by the ultrasonic scanning, and a display unit which displays the first image or the second image selectively, or displays the first image and the second image simultaneously.

    • The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus according to the present embodiments includes an ultrasound transmitting and receiving unit, a tomographic image generating unit, an analyzing unit, and an analysis result display controller. The ultrasound transmitting and receiving unit is configured to transmit ultrasonic beams in multiple directions and is configured to receive echo signals of the multiple directions. The tomographic image generating unit is configured to generate a tomographic image in accordance with each of the directions of the ultrasonic beams. The analyzing unit is configured to compare echo signals of corresponding spatial positions in the tomographic images generated by the tomographic image generating unit with respect to each of the directions of the ultrasonic beams, and is configured to perform an analysis based on the comparison. The analysis result display controller is configured to display the analysis result obtained by the analyzing unit onto the displaying unit.

    • The composite wave obtained by combining a fundamental wave having the center frequency f1 and a fundamental wave having the center frequency f2 is transmitted at least twice for each scanning line while performing phase modulation, and received an echo signal corresponding to each transmission for each scanning line. An echo signal in which harmonic components are canceled out, is extracted for each scanning line, by performing subtraction processing between echo signals which are obtained in this manner and respectively correspond to at least two transmissions. A signal strength difference (or a signal ratio if logarithmic compression is not performed) at each position on the scanned cross-section is calculated by using the f1 frequency component and f2 frequency component contained in the extracted echo signal. An attenuation image representing the signal strength difference at each position on the scanned cross-section is generated by using the calculated signal strength difference.

    • An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus has a probe, an ultrasonic wave control unit, a volume data generation unit, and a three-dimensional display processing unit. The ultrasonic wave control unit controls the probe to transmit low-sound-pressure pulses to a scan region at a first pulse repetition period as well as controls the probe to receive an echo corresponding to the low-sound-pressure pulses. Further, the ultrasonic wave control unit controls the probe to transmit high-sound-pressure pulses to the scan region at a second pulse repetition period smaller than the first pulse repetition period. The volume data generation unit generates volume data based on the echo received by the probe under the control of the ultrasonic wave control unit. The three-dimensional display processing unit generates three-dimensional image data by performing a rendering process based on the volume data, and controls display of the three-dimensional image data on a monitor.
