摘要： An internal combustion engine comprising a combustion chamber and an accumulation chamber which are interconnected to each other via a mixture passage. An accumulation valve is arranged in the mixture passage and opened during the compression stroke. The mixture passage is connected to the combustion chamber at an opening formed on the peripheral inner wall of the cylinder head. The opening of the mixture passage is covered by the rear face of the raised portion formed on the top face to the piston when the piston reaches the top dead center.

摘要： An internal combustion engine comprising a combustion chamber and an accumulation chamber which are interconnected to each other via an accumulation valve. The accumulation chamber is filled with catalyzer pellets for reforming the combustible mixture accumulated in the accumulation chamber. The accumulation valve is opened during the compression stroke. In the first half of the compression stroke, a jet of the reformed combustible mixture is spouted into the combustion chamber from the accumulation chamber to create a strong swirl motion in the combustion chamber. In the latter half of the compression stroke, the combustible mixture in the combustion chamber flows into the accumulation chamber where the combustible mixture accumulates under high pressure, and the mixture is then spouted into the combustion chamber at the next cycle, from the accumulation chamber.

摘要： A turbocharged internal combustion engine for a spark ignition internal combustion engine using gasoline as the fuel is disclosed. An intake system is constructed for the generation of a homogeneous flow of the intake air. The turbocharger is constructed to obtain a ratio of a pressure at the output to the pressure at the input higher than at least 1.5. A lean combustible mixture is obtained at a high engine load or engine speed area whereat the turbocharger can obtain a full supercharging ability. A relationship between the degree of supercharging is such that the larger that value of the air-fuel ratio, the higher the intake pressure. A high fuel consumption efficiency is obtained while preventing an excessive increase of the exhaust gas temperature.
