    • A wireless communication apparatus employing spread spectrum modulation which detects and eliminates interference waves and temporarily stops and restarts communication for maintaining fine communication status. If the interference wave frequency band is known, a reception signal of the frequency band is eliminated. Communication is temporarily halted and restarted corresponding to interference occurrence period and/or radiowave propagation condition, and communication status is notified to a user. Further, if the interference wave occurrence period is unknown, the frequency of the interference wave is detected and a signal of the detected frequency is eliminated. In a case where communication is performed in packet form, the number of packets which can be transmitted sequentially without receiving reception confirmation is controlled based on the radiowave propagation condition. Moreover, a reception signal can be divided into a plurality of frequency band signals and interference wave detection can be performed in band signal units.

    • A diffusion code generating method for a code division multiplex communication by a spread spectrum system is provided. A receiving apparatus according to the above method receives the signal which was multiplexed by using a plurality of sets of diffusion codes and comprises: a generator to generate a sync code and a plurality of sets of diffusion codes other than the sync code; a correlator to obtain a correlation between a reception signal and the sync code generated from the generator; and a receiver to receive the reception signal on the basis of the plurality of sets of diffusion codes generated from the generator. The generator generates the sync code in a manner such that the cross-correlation values are set to very small values at positions near a code sync point or are enough smaller than the autocorrelation peak of the sync code or are set to very small values at both of or either one of the positions before and after the code sync point.

    • In order to perform communication frame switching without cutting off data communication, a terminal which has received a real-time data communication connection request during communication using a data communication frame notifies the other party with which communication is being made of a communication frame change and information of the change timing via a control channel, and also notifies the terminal originating the real-time data communication connection request of the state of the frame being used via the control channel, and changes the communication frame. Further, following changing of the frame, the terminal notifies the terminal originating the real-time data communication connection request of confirmation of connection, and starts real-time data communication via real-time channels. Thus, frame switching can be performed without cutting off data communication.
