摘要： A counter control device for an electrophotographic copying machine of a type having a preset counter device is selectively operable in one of a multi-copy mode wherein a copying operation is repeated to produce a plurality of copies while copying papers which are to have an image affixed thereto are automatically fed one at a time and a manual feed mode wherein the copying operation is carried out by the use of copying papers which are to have an image affixed thereto and which are fed manually one at a time. The counter control device includes a counter for counting the number of copies being made or left unfinished each time one cycle of the copying operation is completed. The counted value is displayed by a display unit which is also operable even when the machine is set to operate in the multi-copy mode.

The size of the original and the size of the various copying papers available are calculated to determine an optimum magnification ratio. 摘要： There is disclosed an image density control apparatus for copying machines in which an area of a pattern image that is formed by projecting a reference pattern through an optical system is limited to a constant area irrespective of the copy magnification. Then the pattern image is developed and its toner density is detected to serve for controlling the image density. Accordingly, the image density is controlled with accuracy, irrespective of the copy magnification.

摘要： An image forming apparatus that is capable of providing various copy ratios includes an original table that can receive an original document from an image carrier. The original is then illuminated, and a focusing lens system is capable of focusing reflected light from the original document onto a photosensitive member. The focusing lens system is movable. A drive assembly can cause relative movement of the original and a light system for illuminating the original, while a second drive member can vary the distance from the original to the focusing lens system whereby the image stays within the fixed focal length of the optical system while accommodating the speed necessary for a specified copy ratio.
